Long, long, long winter

My 1 day off in February, we took the RZR and explored the beach of Lake Texoma.

Have this winter been long and harsh in your area? Central Oklahoma has been gray and gloomy. I typically enjoy cold weather and snow, however this year has been so gloomy I found myself starting to feel blue. Thankfully sunny days will be returning soon. In 6 months I will whine about the heat. It's a guarantee, LOL.

The original paint from 1971 has darkened SO much. I'm loving the new pristine white ceiling!

I have stayed super busy working on rehabbing a house and pushing forward with Bonnie Hunter's 2018 mystery quilt Good Fortune. Units evolved into blocks. Blocks finally became a partial quilt top. Yeah!!

The first border went fine, though I did have a couple of units turned. I sewed the HST's into 2sie's, then into 4sie's. As I went to sew 8sie's I noticed a turned unit. What?!? Oh well, it happens. A little seam ripping, restitch and I was back on track.

I assembled the 2nd border and had a major fit of giggles. Sew a million HST's together and they will fold up and stretch out like an accordion. It tickled me.

I stitched the 1st border to the quilt top. Wahoo! It fit. I was too lazy to measure first. I pinned and got it attached. A little stretch or squish and it was good.
